One-room apartment - Milanofiori Nord

The apartment in the new residential building consists from one room, winter garden and terrace. This small apartment with surface (43sqm) has to meet all requests of comfortable living. For the real estate company, it is difficult to place on the market the smaller apartments, because the proportion between the interior space and the exterior space of the wintergarden is really strange. They need many fresh ideas for living this particular domestic space: a very little flat (43sqm) with a big wintergarden tat nobody knows what to do with it... All the apartments have a view towards a central garden, a wintergarden and a terrrace.

IN MOTION
Movement, energy, activity… this is all what is affected young successful person who lives full speed. The space has to be flexible, airy at the same time purposefully furnished with enough stowage space.
The main room contains of kitchen, living room, dining room, bedroom and dressing room. The whole length of the room is built-up by cabinet which continues also into the space of the winter garden. The part of the stowage place is also aquarium which connects both spaces and creates a decorative element full of movement, life and nature.

The bedroom is hidden and in case of need is possible to create the bed by tilting of the bed segment from the built-in unit. The variability of the four bed segments flexibly determine the space usage – by tilting of all bed segments is possible to make bedroom, the two outside segments could be used as a sitting of the dining room.  The free space can be creating by closing the segments into the cabinet.
The space of the winter garden is available for home fitness. The plants design the nature atmosphere for the everyday training. The terrace is ideal for relaxation or eating under open air.

The Milanofiori Nord masterplan has been realized by Designed by Erick van Egeraat Associated Architects of Rotterdam, a prestigious architecture firm known for its environmental low-impact interventions.
Milanofiori Nord aims at achieving an elevated environmental quality where architecture and landscape are closely bound together. Apart from respecting the criteria of sustainability in terms of composition, technology and materials (bio-building, solar panels), the existing wooded areas will be enhanced and biodiversity will be safeguarded.
The development area, belonging to Milanofiori 2000 S.r.l. (controlled by Brioschi Sviluppo Immobiliare S.p.A.) covers an overall surface area of more than 360,000 sqm and foresees a buildable area of 218,000 sqm.
Construction activities started in 2006 from definitive approved projects for the realization of the first 120,000 sqm of private buildings (service, commercial and residential sector) and a part of the urban construction project implemented by the detailed plan and the relevant agreement signed with the Municipality of Assago in April 2005 and the variance approved in June 2008.
The building works of the first lot will finish in 2010 with the handing over of the residential complex in September.
The construction of the second phase has already started. It will consist of additional buildings for tertiary activities and two new residential complex, one of which is a social housing project.
